Hofbauer Red Bird
I bought a crystal bird bud vase. The tag is Amaris by Nachtmann. Did this company replace Hofbauer crystal?
I did some internet research on this vase. It does appear to be very similar to the Hofbauer piece. The red coloring around the bird is quite sharp and the image seems identical to the original, right down to the branches and leaves. I am guessing that it is not as collectable since it still may be in production. I did not buy it to resell. I only paid $2! Is there any way to find out how much this would cost new if it is still in production? The only website I found says there was a problem with the Amaris line of products.
I was recently in Germany and went to one of the Aramis factories. I bought Champagne Flutes and wine glasses in this pattern, my mother bought a vase with the pattern and paid 25 euro. One Euro at the time was $1.53. If that helps you at all. But it is still in production.
